I am doing great. It’s been so nice being at home for the holidays. I was able to go our cabin in the woods for Thanksgiving and there was so much snow! It’s already up to my knees with the temperature at about zero degrees (quite a bit colder than Texas!) so we had to keep a fire going all weekend to help us stay warm.
I miss you guys too- I always brag about how smart and wonderful my GT 3rd and 4th graders are to my family and friends. I showed them your letters of recommendation, and they loved reading them. I fly back in January to finish up college so I will definitely come to visit you guys. So you better study well so you can impress me with all of your knowledge the next time that I see you

Hi Mrs.johnson how are you I miss you soooooooooo much have you found a job yet.I am probably the first person to get on but that is okay I know that Ruby,Lexi,Jayme,Lizzy,Giselle,Bella,Jaqline,Marshmallow,Mason,Cauren,Otis,Sebastain,Oscar,Kodyand me also miss you and if you don’t how Marshmallow is it is Marsh. Marsh let us call him Marshmallow I actaully came up with the idea because I go to cooking class every tuesday for the rest of the year and last week we were cooking with marshmallows and that night I came up with the idea and so I used it the next day and then asked Marsh and he said yes!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s awesome that you go to cooking classes each week. I love to bake and cook when I am at home. For thanksgiving I made a pumpkin pie for my family with some whip cream and it was pretty tasty
I actually haven’t found a job yet because I still have to finish up college in the spring. I fly back to Dallas from North Dakota in January, take my last classes, and graduate in may. After that I will be able to look for teaching jobs in North Dakota. So in the meantime I am spending time at home with my family and fiancee for the holidays. But when I come back in the spring I am coming to visit you guys, which I am really excited for. Hope that you had a fun Thanksgiving!

I was not able to make it out to black friday shopping since I was out of town at my cabin, although I read in the paper that people were starting to line up at Best Buy on Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving and camped out there in a tent until 5:00 a.m. on Friday morning. And remember that it is around 0 degrees in Fargo so I am guessing that they were pretty cold! I went out one year at 4:00 a.m. to go to Target and after being that cold I decided that was the first and last time for me.
And don’t worry about missing the program-I’ll be back to visit this spring. Just don’t be sick that day

We all miss you very very much!!! How are you? We are all doing very well. Soon we will get our earthworms! We are all so excited! Where are you right now? Are you out celebrating Thanksgiving or Christmas? If you are I am sorry to bother. My parents got back from a 2 and a half week long trip from Ethiopia. When they came through the door to us, there was borders and I ran the wrong way on the opposite side of the door to hug them, but I was going the opposite way the door to them was! It was pretty funny!

I am having a very relaxing and enjoyable break. It is great seeing my family and friends.
I am getting married on saturday August 6th, so you guys will almost be starting fifth grade by that time! I will be sure to try and send a picture to you guys. And hopefully I will have my own classroom to teach in by that time as well.
And I will be back in Irving this spring to finish school so I can come and visit you guys which I am very excited for!

Right now I am just at home with family. I spent Thanksgiving at my cabin with my family and finacee which was very fun and relaxing. This weekend I will be flying out to Washington D.C. to visit relatives and friends for a week and I excited for that since the last time I was there I was your age. Hi Jon,
I’m doing well. As you can tell by how long it has taken me to respond to you guys, I have been very busy this month. I went to Washington DC for a week in the beginning of December and ever since I have been back it has been so busy with Christmas and seeing family. But I got to see a lot of awesome museums while I was in DC. I would have to say that my favorite was the American History museum where I got to see Abraham Lincoln’s hat and Dorothy’s ruby red slippers from the “Wizard of Oz” movie. Hope you had a Merry Christmas Jon and a good break!

I haven’t had any snow ball fights yet, but I have gone sledding and it was great. We just had two blizzards over this weekend and there is so much snow now! There are snow drifts in my yard that are almost as tall as me. I am hoping to go ice skating as well at some point. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and a good break!

I am doing good. It has been a very busy month for me but now things are starting to settle down now that New Years and Christmas have past. I went to Washington DC at the beginning of the month to visit some family and I absolutely loved it there. I saw some great museums and the best part of it was that it was all free! You didn’t have to pay admission for any of them. Hope you are doing well. What book are you reading aloud now in Ms. Arteaga’s room? Did you guys finish the Phantom Tollbooth yet? Thanks Jazmin! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too! I am sad that it is all over, there were still some Christmas movies that I didn’t get to watch this year. There just isn’t time for everything… But I have been able to do a lot as well. I love all of the snow that we have been getting. For Christmas my family was able to go on a sleigh ride through the woods and it was beautiful. I felt like I was on the cover of a Christmas card. Hope your break is going well for you Jazmin!

The snow is pretty high here in Fargo-I would say that it is about an average of 3 feet. But there are some places where they had to plow out parking lots and there are 20 foot snow piles from that. And the snow keeps coming, it’s crazy! I don’t think I ever remembering getting so much snow in one winter.

Hello now 5th graders,
I wanted to let you know that I miss you all and can’t believe that it’s already been a year since I was with you as fourth graders! Right now I am teaching a prekindergarten class at the school that I went to growing up-and they all call me Mrs. Emmel, since that is my new last name now that I am married. Most of them say “Mrs. Elmo,” which is close enough
